1394 Trade Association Product Categories
The 1394 Trade Association has defined products into categories. These categories are used to conveniently group like products together for easy reference. Whether you are a product manufacture, test house or a consumer, these categories help you locate the product you are looking for, give you a unique ID for that product and then you can use the ID to get the information you need.

On this web page you will find links to the current Product Category List, Test Tools and suppliers by Product Category, where a product can earn the compliance logo by Product Category, available 3rd Party Test Houses by Product Category and finally available Test Specifications by Product Category.

For the most recently approved Product Category List click here.

Use this list to find out if your product can earn a logo at this time. If it can, use the ID found in the list to reference all available information for that product.

Because of the high standards of the 1394 Trade Association’s compliance logo program not all products are eligible to earn a logo at this time. If you didn’t find your product list in the Product Category List then the process of defining your products category, test specification, and test tools is not complete. Please contact the 1394 Trade Association if you are interested in helping in this process.

Test Tools
The 1394 Trade Association’s compliance logo program leads the industry in thoroughness of testing. This thoroughness is accomplished through great test specifications and the tools that implement them.

Where to Earn a Logo
As you may have read in the previous section, the 1394 Trade Association’s logo program leads the industry in thoroughness of testing. This thoroughness is not accomplished by chance, no the 1394 Trade Association insures the quality of testing by enabling the appropriate entities and forums to do the testing.
